A manager is someone whose primary responsibility is to carry out the management process. Also, a leader means leadership.
It is an ability one gets from birth or education.
We can become a manager by completing the management degree and getting work experience with few years. But we cannot say the clear path to be a leader. Actually, it is an ability. The leader knows about themself very well. They are fully aware of their strengths and weaknesses. Also, they are unique, take risks, create a vision, build relationships and create fans among their team members.
As an example, when the problem came to their division naturally, they took responsibility and led their team members to face the problem in a proper manner. They are not waiting until appointed by their higher management. Always they come up with greater solutions.
If anyone has leadership abilities one day he or she can be a manager with managerial skills. In general, managers create goals, copy some other manager roles, maintain the status quo, control risks, direct their employees. Every manager cannot be a leader because we cannot add these leadership qualities to the manager role in a quicker manner.
According to my opinion, I agree with the “every leader can be a manager and every manager cannot be a leader” code.
